Join the meez team
At meez, you can be part of an exciting, collaborative, fast-moving environment. We exist to help the culinary world cook smarter and faster with a product that's always getting better.
In fact, we aim to become the universal standard recipe tool for all culinary professionals. To reach this goal, we use first principle thinking (see list below) to operate as a team.
We’re a fun bunch of individuals who are passionate about food and beverage, technology and organization (our name “meez” comes from the term “mise en place”). We’re a remote team spread around the United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, and beyond!View Open Roles
meez is built for chefs by chefs. It all started in 2003 when our CEO Josh Sharkey lost a notebook full of priceless recipes. Then a young chef, he vowed to never lose a notebook again.
Josh went on to cook in storied kitchens and build his own fast casual concept, and his idea for meez evolved far beyond just a recipe storage system.
Almost 20 years since that lost notebook, meez is a comprehensive digital recipe management system that's improving the lives of culinary professionals everywhere.Read the full story

Our First Principles
meez operates as a team via first principle thinking. By making decisions through this lens, we can be confident that any action or decision will be the right one, even if in the short term it may not feel that way. This is also the way we instill autonomy in our teams and move faster as an organization.
I love working at meez because...
There are so many interesting technical problems to solve. And we have an awesome team to do just that.
We get to build an entirely new product category.
I get to use my industry skills to make life easier for my comrades in food service.
